Members of the Abia State Vigilance Group have arrested a man, Chidi Nkire, for allegedly def!ling three of his underage children at their residence in the Obingwa Local Government Area of the state.

Nkire had been carrying out these acts since last year, starting after his separation from their mother. He coerced and threatened the children, even resorting to starving them until they agreed to comply with his demands. Notably, Nkire has been cooperative and has not denied any of the accusations thus far.

Following the incident’s report at the local police station, the case was subsequently transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department in Umuahia.

Nkire confessed to committing the reprehensible acts, attributing his actions to the devil and his wife’s unavailability to fulfill his sexual desires.

“I did something terrible; it was the devil that influenced me. I didn’t know it was like this,” Nkire confessed.

Confirming the case, a reliable source within the Abia State Police Command stated, “The incident has been reported to the State CID. The police force is aware, and discreet investigations into the matter have commenced.
